To provide psychotherapy, I may process:
- Identity and contact details (name, email/phone, address if needed for invoices).
- Appointment data and practical communication (scheduling and messages).
- Clinical information you share in sessions (including mental health information).
- Clinical notes and treatment planning.
- Questionnaire/assessment results if used.
- Payment and invoicing information (MobilePay/Revolut/bank transfer references).
Your data is processed to:
- Provide psychotherapy and maintain continuity of care.
- Manage scheduling, communication, invoicing, and bookkeeping.
- Meet legal and professional obligations (record keeping and accounting).
- Maintain quality and safety in service delivery.
General personal data is processed based on:
- Contract / steps before entering a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Legal obligations where applicable (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)) such as bookkeeping.
- Legitimate interests for administration and security (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Health data (special category data) is processed because it is necessary for providing psychological treatment and is handled under professional confidentiality (GDPR Art. 9(2)(h) and related safeguards).
Client information and notes are stored in secure systems and storage used for my practice (for example: encrypted local device and Google Workspace/Drive).
Access is restricted to me, and only authorised parties (if any) where strictly necessary.
I use:
- Google Workspace (email, Google Meet for video sessions, and storage)
- Calendly (appointment scheduling)
Email and WhatsApp are used mainly for scheduling and practical communication.
WhatsApp is not suitable for emergencies and should be avoided for highly sensitive clinical details. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, we can use email only.
Clinical notes/journals are stored according to Danish professional rules for psychologists (typically at least 5 years from the last entry).
Accounting records (invoices and payment documentation) are stored according to Danish bookkeeping rules (typically 5 years).
You can request access and rectification. In some cases you can request deletion or restriction; however, deletion may be limited when records must be kept due to legal/professional obligations.
You can contact me with questions. You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
